Summary: Responsible for supervising the manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components. Major Job Duties: Test and image desktops and laptops. Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot, software and computer peripherals. Ability to setup, configure and add all hardware. Assist Corporate Desk Side Support technicians with large IMAC’s. Assure that all tickets requiring follow up work and/or calls receive appropriate attention. Provide technical support to end users via telephone. Back up and burn end user data. Assist in developing and documenting improvements to current processes. Assist coworkers in resolution of end users’ technical issues. Assist coworkers in the execution of established processes and escalations. Test, image and clean PC’s, laptop, monitors, printers, and other related hardware. Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Entry level -2 years of hands on technical knowledge of laptop and desktop design and software installation required. Skills and Competencies: Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Possess 1 to 2 years experience in a break/fix environment. Able to lift and palletize heavy equipment. (PC’s, monitors, printers.) Strong verbal and written communication skills. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

 

Requirements

 Work is in a help desk environment. We are responsible for setting work areas up and tearing them down on the fly. Trouble shoots any PC related issues that may arise. - Duties: Setup and tear down workstations – Install new desktops, laptops, Wyse Terminals. Troubleshoot issues on the fly. Inventory control, CMDB asset management. - No on call possible Over Time - 3-5 years experience required -TOP 2 required skills that candidates must have: 1.) Excellent customer communication skills 2.) A+ certification

Sam is originally from Hilton Head, SC. He attended the University of South Carolina where he earned a degree in Human Resource Management and became an avid Gamecocks fan. After graduating Sam moved back to Hilton Head to work in the hospitality industry and enjoy the beach. He started his professional career as a guest service agent with the Westin Resort. From there he trained in various hotel functions before landing in Finance in early 2015. It was here that he discovered his love for a 9-5 schedule and time off for the Holidays. After a year and a half, he decided hotels were not his passion and began the search for a new opportunity.
