Catapult Staffing is looking for a SharePoint Administrator to work with our innovative client in Mooresville, NC for a contract-to-hire opportunity. 

The administrator will interact with all function areas to design, maintain, and train all aspects that could be available for users within SharePoint.  This will include: InfoPath, workflows, and sites. 

Additionally, this position will manage all SharePoint operations to include: MS SharePoint and SQL server, apply operating system and application service packs, perform system backups and restorations, management of groups and user accounts, and site permissions.  The candidate must be able to provide auditing, management of search and indexing functions, and system and user functional troubleshooting.  The candidate must possess a thorough understanding of SharePoint security. 

The ideal candidate will exercise initiative to engage personnel and customers with professionalism, expertise, tact, and a positive disposition while gathering their recommendations, suggestions, and requirements as it pertains to SharePoint operations and projects.  Upon this interaction with our business customers or personnel, communicates the details to the Director of IT for guidance for a timely implementation. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Optimize SharePoint and SQL databases
  • Design, deploy and administer MS Office SharePoint Server 2010 and SQL 2008 (including hot-fixes, updates, and service packs)
  • Deploy and configure SharePoint sites including; creating and managing web applications and site collections, enabling end user access, create and manage DNS entries to maintain connectivity to SharePoint from inside and outside the LAN
  • Development of automating corporate solutions, web forms, PTO forms, and administering workflow processes
  • Train employees to utilize SharePoint functionality and all IT services
  • Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for SharePoint administration and appropriate use
  • Provide ideas and solutions based on customer needs
  • Keep updated with computer/server software technology
  • Advise management on software and hardware support issues
  • May perform other directly related duties as assigned

Additional Desired Knowledge or Skills

  • Microsoft Active Directory Users and Computers, Print Services, GPO
  • IP network fundamental understanding
  • Excel PowerPivot, JET Reports, SQL Data mining, BI

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MCP, SQL and SharePoint, MS Project Server (nice to have but not required)
  • 3 years plus of experience in SharePoint design, development and administration
  • Network+ or 2 years networking experience
  • Security + training
  • Applicants must possess proficiency of Microsoft products.  The candidate must possess a strong knowledge of the web based applications and backend administration systems. Operational experience applying SharePoint solutions to real world problem sets
  • SharePoint Designer, SharePoint 2007/2010, SQL server 2008\2016,, Visual Studio, MySQL, IIS
  • Conceptual thinker, team player
  • Strong attention to detail, and ability to take direction,
  • Strong communication skills written and verbal
