Position Summary:

Provide subject matter expertise to assist in the leadership, innovation, governance, and management necessary to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor the company' s enterprise risks.  

Essential Job Functions:

Role and Responsibilities

·        Assists in Establishing the Enterprise Risk Management architecture for the company (25%)

·        Assists in the development of Enterprise Risk Management tools, practices, and policies to identify, measure, analyze and report enterprise risks   (25%)

·        Manages the ERM process to monitor and assess risk management policies and strategies for compliance with applicable regulations, rating agency standards, and strategic imperatives of the organization.  (50%)

o   Works with business areas and ERM team to facilitate effective risk management

o   Collaborates with ERM team to monitor and analyze model risk

o   Completes quarterly assessment updates for reporting to Senior Management, Enterprise Risk Oversight Committee, the Board, regulators and rating agencies.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

·        Clear understanding of risk management trends, methodologies, reporting (management, board and regulatory) and emerging risks

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build consensus through collaborative partnering

·        7+ Years ERM Leadership Experience in financial services industry

·        Proven track record as a subject matter expert

·        Bachelor’ s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or other risk management associated field

·        Professional Certification (Either Actuarial, Accounting and Finance, or ERM)

Preferred Skills

·        Life Insurance Industry ERM experience

·        In-depth knowledge of life insurance and annuity risks, risk aggregation and reporting practice practices, stress and scenario testing, and theories and related analyses

·        Chartered Financial Enterprise Risk Analyst certification
