Provides technical support, assists in the design, deployment, and maintenance of all enterprise systems. May lead small to medium sized projects independently. Tests and evaluates technical infrastructure to eliminate problems and make improvements. Creates installation and support documentation as needed. Has an intermediate to advanced level of knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the networking field. Relies on basic experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Provides direct support coverage for all enterprise network attached systems and physical network infrastructure including hardware, software, network tools & applications, back office, custom and third party business applications. Works with other groups in the IS Department to support projects and day-to-day operations as defined by supervisor. Continuously works to improve personal, technical, and business skills in order to provide the best service possible. On a rotational basis, provides 24 x 7 support coverage. Do you have current Cisco certs? If so, please list and include current status Job Description: Responsible for post-install network configuration changes and troubleshooting for all network endpoint and biomedical equipment devices connected to the corporate network at client’s new hospital facility. Client seeing a CCNA certified network engineer with experience in supporting and troubleshooting Cisco based enterprise networks. This position will work directly with the client networking team during the installation and post-installation time period when client is connecting PCs and other medical devices (e.g. MRI machines, Xray, etc.) to the approximately 35,000 network ports at the new hospital facility. Essential Responsibilities and Functions: • Responsible for troubleshooting issues and issue management throughout the network environment, serving as technical support for other members of the team. • Making configuration changes to Cisco access switches (Catalyst 9410 and 9300) • Assist in development of network design and configurations • Collaborate with network installation team for troubleshooting/changes to network cabling • Documentation of network configuration changes Minimum Qualifications: • CCNA Routing & Switching Certification a must • Experience: 8+ years supporting large enterprise network infrastructure
