Catapult Staffing is partnering with a local  specialty sporting goods business  to provide an eCommerce Project Manager  in Charlotte, NC.

Job Description:

Catapult Staffing is partnering with a successful, Charlotte based brick and mortar sporting goods store  looking to franchise an eCommerce site that will partner with the store but will operate as its own entity. The eCommerce Project Manager will manage the development of the online store from inception, through development and once completed, will manage all business aspects of the online store.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Overall project ownership from scoping, requirements gathering, and project plan development to design/technology/quality assurance execution
  • Hire and manage all internal creative and development team members
  • Ownership of day-to-day client and third party communication
  • Develop and manage budgets
  • Monitor daily project progress and pro-actively tackle potential questions, delays, and conflicts
  • Communicate status updates and escalate project risks regularly to the Owner of the parent company on a weekly basis
  • Document change orders, meeting notes, weekly status and project timeline and financial tracking updates
  • Respond to client/internal team inquiries during the estimation and execution
  • Coordinate team check-ins and facilitate open dialogue on project status
  • Define and assign tasks for individual team members, monitor progress, and encourage creativity/innovation
  • Outline resourcing needs and prioritize against all project needs

 

Requirements / Qualifications
  • 5+ years project management experience at a digital agency focused on ecommerce
  • Deep understanding of eCommerce solutions, web design, development process, and third party applications
  • Experience managing end to end ecommerce site builds
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce technology solutions (ex. integrations with third party systems for warehouses, ERPs, POS systems, etc.)
  • Competencies in project planning tools (ex. MS Project, JIRA/Confluence, Basecamp, Harvest)
  • Strong experience in scoping and writing statements of work, producing project estimates, developing timelines and project plans, drafting functional specifications, and financial tracking
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to address client and internal project teams
  • Highly organized, motivated, solution-oriented, and detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated project ownership and confidence
  • Ability to work in a small and fast paced environment
  • A customer service orientation and great interpersonal skills
  • Flexible to work independently or collaboratively across multiple projects

Desired Skills & Experience

Preferred Requirements
  • Firearm Enthusiast
  • Prior experience with Magento and Shopify Ecommerce platforms
  • Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile/Scrum project management methodologies
  • Knowledge of UX and responsive design
  • Knowledge of HTML, Photoshop a huge plus
  • Google Analytics certification a plus

Blythe is originally from the San Antonio, TX area but mostly grew up in the California Bay Area. She attended UC Davis where she majored in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior. Blythe began her career in medical supply sales right out of college. She transitioned to the pharmaceutical industry where she worked for almost 6 years as a sales representative. In 2015, her and her husband relocated to Charlotte where Blythe decided to try out a new career in recruiting! Fun facts: Blythe and her husband participate in the sport of Curling. She loves to travel and has a 6-year old dog named Milly!
