Position Overview:

 

This position will provide financial support to the Procurement leadership by assisting in financial reporting, variance analysis, and managing the purchase order process.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 
  • Oversee and assist in the purchase order process;
    • Maintain cross-functional relationship to ensure accurate understanding of departmental needs in order to manage ERP access
    • Understand complexity of authorized approvers and maintain up-to-date ERP configuration
    • Understand procurement best-practices to guide users in creating meaningful requisitions, on the current ERP platform
    • Work with end-users to maintain compliance to procurement policies
  • Manage and maintain the open purchase order listing, working with end users to close out purchase orders and maintain due dates on open orders in an expedient manner.  Understand basics of accrual processing, and implications of open purchase order liability;
  • Generate the procurement accrual on a monthly basis, with full reconciliation month over month;
  • Handle general supplier negotiations, including but not limited to, payment terms, payment methods, requirements for timely payments, dual Client/Supplier relationships and certain legal documents
  • Maintain training materials, publish Procurement documents and provide direct support, as needed
  • Manage and maintain the Procurement support mailbox to a limited number of open support tickets;
  • Assist the Procurement department by tracking expenditures and providing reports and analysis to ensure the business is on track to meet their spending targets;
  • Manage and maintain Concur Expense systems for T&E, Corporate Purchasing, and bank functions
  • Assist the Financial team to perform other AD-hoc reports and analysis, when needed
  • Support Corporate Card programs, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Education and Experience Required:

 
  • Bachelor’ s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Two to five years of financial analyst experience

 

Skills and Knowledge Required:
 
  • Experience with PeopleSoft
  • Experience with Concur expense system preferred
  • Advanced experience in Excel (pivot tables and advanced functions)
  • Moderate experience in PowerPoint
  • Excellent project management and problem solving skills
  • An analytical, self-motivated individual
  • A self-starter who can work independently to solve problems creatively and prioritize tasks.
  • Builds cross-functional relationships
