Background Screening Coordinator

Responsibilities:

 
  • Monitor and conduct daily review on candidates in the pre-hire background check process; manage incoming notifications related to candidate background checks
  • Conduct individualized assessments and coordinate receipt of additional documentation from candidates, if applicable
  • Manage the adverse action process per FCRA
  • Adjudicate background results and oversee follow-up communication with candidates as well as Field/HR staff
  • Conduct training sessions with field HR employees on current background check process including education on all required documentation 
  • Assists with M&A activities, when needed

 

Requirements:

 
  • Bachelor’ s or equivalent preferred, not required
  • Strong experience in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Prior experience with FCRA and criminal background screening processes required
  • PeopleSoft HRIS and Taleo Enterprise experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
  • Problem solving and excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership
  • Ability to work with peers and internal and external customers at various levels
  • Ability to multi-task work at a fast pace and meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • 70% Adjudicate Criminal Screenings
  • 20% Training/ Immigration/ Compliance
  • 10% Monthly reporting
